Women's Lib' and all that comes along with it

Yesterday my mum and i were catching in the evening as she prepared dinner as we often do as it's just the two of us now and we got to talking about some recent renovations done in our kitchen. I mentioned the badly done finishing or more like the lack of it to my mum. Point to note here, i have some OCD tendencies and for those who may be reading and have no idea what that is, OCD is obsessive compulsive tendencies think of the TV series,' The Monk ' or 'Sheldon' from the TV series ' The Big bang Theory now mine is not at such extreme levels but i like things ordered, neat and in their place. Growing up my father used to say when you do something do it well or don't bother at all. This ensured that to this day i will not start something that i don't intend to see through to the end. This is the title of a beautiful poem written by EE Cummings many years ago yet his words are as real and relevant today as they ever were. Am not much of a poetry fan but occasionally one captures my mind and causes me to pause and ponder a common truth told in a fresh way or a new previously unheard of truth which broadens my mind. Sometimes the hardest thing in life is knowing which bridges to cross and which bridges to burn.And sometimes a man can meet his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.if it simply comes all in the beginning it wouldn't be better. Deep huh.... I found this as a draft of a post that i started writing a few years ago and as much as i have a great memory (my friends call it elephant), i don't recall what i was thinking about or even why i abandoned it halfway. But since i started it and it was such a good beginning, it would be a shame not to complete it. Yesterday i left class in the evening, one of those classes where the lecturer is pretty cool and has a way of bringing to life whatever she is teaching and it was on family communication, which was pretty interesting considering that in church we have just finished a sermon series on generations, which is on family.
